the story of a boy named iranzi and the way he changed our hearts forever.

In 2018, on our way home from a business trip to South Africa, we stopped in Rwanda to visit our friend, Pastor John Samvura. One afternoon, we purchased food and supplies to distribute to the homes of some of the poorest families in Mahoko. The last home we visited was that of a mother with three young boys living in a home with no electricity, a dirt floor, and a curtain for a door. Her oldest son was school-aged but was playing with younger children in the street. Upon leaving, we discovered that he could not attend school because his family could not afford that cost. This boy, Iranzi, touched our hearts and we committed to fund his education through high school.

Forever changed by the opportunity to impact Iranzi’s life, we started to dream about how much further this could go and how many more children could receive the same kind of gift. What if we could establish schools in Rwanda where children without means could receive an excellent education? What if those children could attend a school where they heard the gospel and learned worship songs? What if the bonds of generational poverty could be broken and the lives of families and communities could be transformed? Out of that dream, the Iranzi Project was birthed.

What started with one boy, Iranzi, has grown to three schools in Rwanda currently enrolling over 400 students. Please join us!
